Conductor and pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips, who made his debut in Kokkola a few years ago, now returns to OCO.

On Ascension Day, he appears both as the soloist in Haydn’s Piano Concerto and as the conductor in music by English composers. The piano also plays a central role in Ernest Bloch’s Concerto grosso and in Britten’s energetic Young Apollo.
