In this eagerly-awaited opening concert, Malin Broman and the OCO will launch a Schubert series during which all his symphonies will be performed in the next few years. Receiving its first performance in Finland will be the Double Bass Concerto by contemporary US composer Missy Mazzoli, in which the soloist will be Pauli Pappinen, Kokkola’s ‘own son’ nowadays based in Berlin.
