The opening concert of the new Artistic Director of the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, Kasmir Uusitupa, shimmers with the colours of string sonorities, nostalgia, and emotion. The concert opens with Leevi Räsänen’s work the two childhoods, which has been performed around the world.
The featured soloist in Claude Debussy’s exquisitely sensitive song cycle is the internationally acclaimed soprano Mari Palo, originally from Central Ostrobothnia. The evening concludes with Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s heartfelt Serenade for Strings, one of the most beloved classics in the string orchestra repertoire.
Restaurant Dolce at the Snellman Music Center invites friends of the chamber orchestra to a dinner in an atmospheric setting. A generous buffet will be served from 5.00 pm onwards.
