Framing the concert are the sombre Rock Score composed by P.H. Nordgren for the OCO and the inauguration of the Kaustinen Hall, along with his Finnish string classic Portraits of Country Fiddlers. The arrangements of Sibelius melodramas made by Tuomas Hannikainen, the conductor at this concert and a long-standing collaborator with the orchestra, get their first performance.
Please notice! Due to Covid restrictions the concert is only streamed online. The soloist and parts of the programme has been changed. New soloist in Eero Hämeenniemi's Concerto for Violin and Strings is Kaija Saarikettu.
