Sublime music by Mozart frames a concert that begins the autumn season of our 50th-anniversary year in festive mood. In addition to the Schumann Cello Concerto, the programme introduces a new acquaintance as we listen to some music by US composer Caroline Shaw, winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and a Grammy.
As their guest, Malin Broman and the orchestra welcome world-famous English cellist Steven Isserlis – an artist who has been working with the OCO ever since the 1980s.
