We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring General manager who can lead the orchestra into its next era

As General manager, you will play a central role in building the orchestra's future by acting as a link between the artistic director, the orchestra's board and cooperation partners. You will be responsible for the orchestra's administration, finances, and strategic development. You will act as the orchestra's public face and be present in the orchestra's day-to-day activities. You should create a positive atmosphere around the orchestra and inspire the staff to enjoy their work and achieve well.

We have an open position for

Principal viola

In addition to the salary dress and instrument allowance is paid. The position is permanent and will be filled from the 1st of January 2026.
The audition will take place on Monday 20th of October 2025 at 10am at Musiikkikeskus Snellman, Vingenkatu 18, Kokkola, Finland.

Repertoire:

  1. Hoffmeister or Stamitz: Viola Concerto, 1st movement with cadenzas & 2nd movement
  2. Bartók, Hindemith or Walton: Viola Concerto, 1st movement
  3. Two movements from a solo piece by Bach    
  4. Orchestra and chamber music excerpts which can be requested from Mon 22nd of September onwards from music librarian matti.vanhamaki@kamariorkesteri.fi

Closing date for applications is Tuesday 7th of October at 4pm. Applications to be sent to emilia.otava@kamariorkesteri.fi. Applications should include a CV with contact information. An accompanist will be provided by the orchestra if requested by applicant.
