World renowned pianist Jonathan Biss visits the OCO

- Malin Broman and the Orchestra are presenting their Mozartfest Wurzburg repertoire for the audience of Kokkola

The Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra ends the spring 2023 season with a foretaste of works to be performed by the OCO and Malin Broman during their forthcoming visit to Mozartfest Würzburg. On Friday 19th of May the audience of Kokkola gets to enjoy the much-loved Symphony No. 40 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as well as the Symphony in B flat Major by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. 

As the soloist for the Kokkola concert the Orchestra has invited American pianist Jonathan Biss, who will be playing the Piano Concerto in G Major K. 453 by W.A. Mozart. The audience will also be able to admire his superb playing at a chamber recital on May 18. Read more about the chamber recial here

In Würzburg The OCO and Malin will be performing together with pianist Ragna Schirmer - she will interpret the Piano Concerto in B flat Major KV 595 by Mozart. The Würzburg repertoire also consists of Finnish music by Einojuhani Rautavaara. Read more here
