American folk songs and Vivaldi together with Pekka Kuusisto

The Season Conert on May 5th consists of both a world premiere by Timo Alakotila (soloist Kirill Kozlovsky) and American traditional folk songs arranged by Nico Muhly. Singer-songwriter and the multi-instrumentalist Sam Amidon will be performing the songs together with Pekka Kuusisto and the OCO.
For all the baroque lovers the orchestra also treats the audience on Vivaldis much loved Four Seasons, this time with a twist, as Swedish folk musician, cittern player Ale Carr will be playing basso continuo. Read more about the Folk & Vivaldi concert here.
