One of Europe’s most sought-after countertenors, Maarten Engeltjes, appears as soloist with the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, performing some of Handel’s most beautiful arias.
In this fascinating programme, Clara Iannotta’s work expands the sonic boundaries of the string orchestra. The evening also features Bernard Herrmann’s Sinfonietta, by the composer best known for the music to Alfred Hitchcock’s film classics. The concert is conducted by the Kokkola-born conductor Janne Nisonen.

The programme will be performed both in Kokkola and at Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki.
