Pekka Kuusisto and American singer-songwriter Sam Amidon will play some folk very much in their own image in a concert that also includes Vivaldi’s classic Seasons. Ale Carr brings a nice twist to the Seasons with his cittern continuo. Receiving its premiere is a piano concerto by front-line Finnish folk musician Timo Alakotila with Kirill Kozlovsky as the soloist.
Kuusisto and Amidon can be heard the previous evening at Kulttuurikorjaamo.
